Jeff Turner has been booking live music and entertainment for a wide variety of events for many years. JTEG artists have appeared at hundreds of festivals, concert series, nightclubs and theatres throughout BC, across Canada and the US and throughout Asia and Europe.

You will be escorted around the "city that never sleeps" by jazz impresario Cory Weeds and former CBC Radio Host Katie Malloch. You'll visit some
of the world's most renowned jazz clubs as well as some unknown gems. There will be a handful of private jazz performances exclusive to tour
participants and you will be introduced to many of New York's finest jazz musicians.
The tour is jam packed with events but there is plenty of time to catch a Broadway play, go to a sporting event, visit that restaurant you've heard
so much about, explore the many neighbourhoods or simply relax and catch your breath.
Tour participants will stay at the prestigious Kitano Hotel at 66 Park Avenue.

CORY WEEDS MUSICIAN:
Saxophonist Cory Weeds has been a professional musician for the better part of 15 years, but pretty much covers every role on the Vancouver jazz scene - musician, record producer, radio host, record label owner and jazz club owner.
Most recently, Cory was honoured with a 2013 Juno Award nomination for Traditional Jazz Album of the Year for The Cory Weeds' Quartet Album "Up A Step, The Music of Hank Mobley". A beautiful tribute to the composing talents of one of the finest tenor saxophonist ever, Hank Mobley, Up A Step features talented saxophonist Cory Weeds along with special guests, world renowned organist Mike LeDonne plus Oliver Gannon (guitar) and Jesse Cahill (drums).
Cory is also a member of The Jeff Turner Entertainment Group's B3 Kings and The Night Crawlers

In 2000, Weeds took a leap of faith and bought the Cellar Jazz Club and turned it into Vancouver's only full time jazz club. The club has showcased the best Canadian and international talent but Weeds is most proud of providing a place for local musicians to play. In 12 yearsCory Weeds' Cellar Jazz Club has established itself as not only the top jazz venue in Vancouver, but as one of the top jazz clubs in the world

In 2001, after listening to night after night of incredible music, Weeds released a compilation of live performances at the club. Inspired by rave reviews from this release, Weeds intended to release more compilations but instead turned to releasing full albums recorded live at the club. His record label, Cellar Live, was born and to date has released 15 albums. Weeds' experience as a working jazz musician in his own groups as well as a sideman have helped him hone his skills for producing innovative, exciting and influential jazz records.
His talents as a producer were recognized with a nomination for Producer of the Year in 2002, 2003, and 2004 at the National Jazz Awards. He has won the award two years in a row (2007 and 2008).
Weeds' most recent release Up A Step features hammond B3 Organ virtuoso Mike LeDonne playing the music of Hank Mobley. This album has been nominated for Traditional Jazz Album of the Year Juno (2013).
